(posted by his daughter, melissa)

Dad is doing much better today, although he slept almost the entire day. He was encouraged when I read him all of the postings from the first 'burn' post. He is pretty medicated and is in quite a bit of pain. His left arm is the worst, we will find out on Friday how bad the burns really are, and whether or not he will need skin grafting. Today we found an apartment that they will be living temporarily for 6 months until the house is rebuilt. Thank you for your prayers and concerns! We are so thankful!

Wow...so thankful it wasn't worse, physically, for you Bob and Michelle. Stuff is stuff -- hard to lose still, make no mistake, but just stuff.

Praying for the doctor's wisdom and God's sustaining hand.

Melissa, please tell your mom and dad that I am praying for them and you all. I have written to them before but I don't think it went thru. Tell them we love them and I know GOD has him here for a reason.

Melissa,

Good job of keeping up the blog in these difficult times. I can smell the odor just by looking at the pictures. If you ever had a house fire (as we did several years ago), you will never forget it.

Tell your Dad that I couldn't get off work Friday afternoons as I requested, hence Marilyn & I can't come see you as we planned to with Mike & Antoinette.

We are with you in spirit, and are only a phone call away should my dear brother Robert (aka Bob) need any help or advice.

The main thing is that Bob is alive to carry on whatever God's will IS. Hopefully all will be OK, and we'll visit as soon as we can.

Until then: Peace & Love,

Steve & Marilyn

We are so sorry for what has happened. sometimes it is difficult to understand why God allows bad things to happen. Yet He knows the reason for everything that happens. Our strength in time of trouble and in time of need. You have always been there for anyone who has sought your help. Now we are all here for you and Michelle. Let us know what you need. We will continue to keep you both in our prayers. Love Tom, Cynthia and Kaleb.

Bob and Michelle, we just want you to know how much we are so very sorry that this has happened to such good people. Our God sends rain on all of us along with the sunshine. Steve feels your pain Bob, and he wanted you to know how much he loves you and you were there for him, so what ever we can do to help you from here. He also says when you come to elkhart after healing, to visit, we have a place for you to stay among your many friends from elkhart if you need a place. Melissa, let us know how we can help. Bob,You are lifted up in our prayers for a quick healing and Michelle for strength to hold the fort. Love and concern Steve and Andrea

Was so good to hear your voice yesterday! Thanks for calling, even if you were trippin'. (wink, wink)

Thinking of you daily, and praying the same. May God, the Healer and Restorer, provide what you need, when you need it. May He hold you in the palm of His hand.

Pastor Bob & Michelle,

My heart breaks at seeing the pictures Melissa took of your home. Even though we know in our hearts that our posessions are just that, they are the things that make our home special to us. Thankfully, we serve a God of new beginnings!!! How exciting it will be for you to see how God uses this as you serve Him in building "new beginnings" for newly planted churches! I am praying for a full & quick recovery for you and that each day finds you feeling better.

Isn't it wonderful that the children you were always there for are now the ones who are there for you! In spite of your loss, your blessings are still many.
