Do We???
Do we really care more about SEX more than reaching lost people? It appears that sex is more important. Did you see or hear the sermon series?
This Church pastor presented the series with two bold proclamations:
If your single "abstain from sex" during the series.
If your married "have sex at least once a week" during the series.
It's quite an interesting story.

1. There are many churches that believe they need to emphasize the same things the world emphasizes in order to reach the those in it. What they're missing is that it isn't simply by preaching an opposite message that people come to see truth and know Christ, it's by living the opposite message and re-emphasizing the truly important things- eternal things. The church should be emphasizing the spiritual, not the sensual!
2. What sermon series are you referring to, Bob?
Sex is spiritual and provides a great opportunity to help people become aware of their spirits. Unfortunately, most teaching on sex in the church is either on getting more of it (in marriage) or getting away from it (if your not married). In Cyprus I run Love, Sex, and Dating seminars a couple of times a year and its a good opportunity for evangelism. Most of my counseling deals with sexual and relational issues as well.
