Rick Warren is making news, again!

Rick Warren does it BIG. According to Fox news, they have Rick Warren interviewing Obama and McCain and it airs Saturday night of Labor Day weekend (Tomorrow).

Is this wise for Warren?

Does America really care?

Will anything new come out of this?

Why do you think this is a good move on Warren's part? Or a bad?

Hi Bob,
Are you referring to the Saddleback forum from a couple weeks ago? (I have video here) Or is this something new?

I'm not sure...I think it might be the same. But Fox News is covering it. We'll have to wait and see, I guess.

I think it's a good thing. If it's the same thing, I'd love to see it (missed it before), if it's new, I'm glad for it.

It's not necessarily a bad or good thing for Warren, but it's good over all. We need more honest discussion about the issues. As I understand it, Warren asked each candidate the exact same question and then just let them answer, without interpretation or guidance or any of the other crap news media usually feel they have to provide.

Michael, use the link from my first comment to watch the Video of the Saddleback debate or download the transcript if you prefer to read it.

I think Rick Warren accomplished something magnificent here. It won't grow Saddleback or make disciples, but it did give Christians fantastic insight into the two candidates. The MSM will not ask the questions (I've read) that Warren asked because they largely do not care about character or issues that Christians view as important. Warren's forum gives believers a basis for casting their vote in November ... if they care.

Yep, looks like it was a rebroadcast of the first forum.
