About Anger...

I think God still gets really angry when we sin and really really angry when we refuse to obey Him.

We should be angry about the right things. God says, in our anger, sin not!

I believe in a God of love and mercy. He is long suffering and kind. Indeed he is not pleased but the God I know is able to forgive.

He is longsuffering and merciful, and His lovingkindness does endure forever, but His justice and holiness DEMAND obediance. in fact, when Israel was in sin before entering the promise land, He said
"...Let Me alone, that My anger may burn against them and that i may destroy them; and i will make of you a great nation"
and
"say to the sons of Israel. 'you are an obstinate people; should I go up in your midst for one moment, i would destroy you'".
The anger of God that we see here isnt the anger typically talked about when the word 'anger' is used, but it is the one being referenced by Bob here. God gets very angry. He is angered at every women beaten by her husband, by every politician that swindles the public for his/her own gain, at every time a child is called 'faggot', at every father that rapes his children. Sin angers God. Sin is us denying God His rightful place in our lives thru direct disobedience. His anger is righteous. would you rather worship a god who WASNT angered by all the evil in the world?

I think I'll hang out with a God who is angered by sin in the world.
