About Truth and Love

Truth is HARD!

Love is hard and soft depending on the situation and what is needed.

It takes a person who really loves to share hard truth with us.

In the context of relationship - truth is a solid, relevant answer. Without Love, the message is a clanging cymbal (The Love Chapter). Truth is true no matter but if you care to be heard, soften it with love. Like discipling children, a deep relationship will always be better than cold, harsh commands. Both can exist but the greatest of these is Love.

Just like Ezekiel did Rick? Maybe he did not tell it out of love? Does soft really mean love and straight forward mean not love? I have seen people look directly into someones eyes and say "You are going to hell" and them say, "You know, your right." Sometimes people need straight forward hard truth. Most of America can get the soft truth from their local "church" building.

eric...context of relationship is important. Love is the context and the Word of God says that God is love ~ perfect cast out fear. Hard nosed and direct confrontation may work as long as the Spirit of God is in it. The comment about 'the church' isn't necessary. They can also get soft answers from God ~ a soft answer turns awat wrath.
