My 2006 Faith Goals

I'm trusting God for big things this year:

Several (3 or 4) new church plants...
All of my support raised....
A network of community leaders...
A new kind of church to prove Barna wrong in his assessment of the church...
Workers in our Midwest District harvest field...
Unlimited resources to do this job...
The developement of a new discipleship/church planting system.
A minimum of 100 souls for Jesus.

This is only a start - I will be adding to this.

Bob

Interestingly, we're studying Barna's book at church. I'll be very interested to see what approach we take.

Hey Bob, Great to see that you are keeping your blog going! People are shy to post comments, but they will come around.

It was great to see you guys at Christmas! We were so glad to be able to come home and spend time with our family.

Bob,

Received this connection from Adam. Was wondering where you had gone. We are at LifeNet in Hilliard, OH right now. Just wanted to make contact and let you know some of the "older" generation is getting pulled into this thing -- although not as strongly as my children. My son Aidan is a senior at Circleville Bible College and is overseas right now on a missions trip. He is an intern pastor at the Crooksville FMC.

Wayne,

How are you? Great to see we slightly older fathers can get into this blog thing.

I'm in St. Louis (metro) looking for church planters to reach a growing population of over 2 million people here and over 1 million in Kansas City. When will you join my team to storm the gates of hell?

Justjules,

Barna is more on than off if we are looking at an ineffective church in America. If we keep doing what we've always done we will get more of the same. I don't want the same. I want a revolution that still considers New Testament community important.

Barna is trying to shake us up into a new wineskin. I want to prove Barna wrong in that we still need a community that gathers for love, support, accountability and affirmation.

Bob,

I am ready to go when I fully sense God's call, but I have not finished here. I will need at least a year to complete the call that God is showing me for the Hilliard community. I too want to see the church acting in accordance to the New Testament body. I have a young associate pastor under me that given a year might be in a position to carry the vision for this city. Pray for us as we attempt to reach a city that needs to know that Jesus loves them and desires that they know Him personally. It is great to hear from you and see the pictures of the family. You do not know how much Barb and I have missed you and your family, but God is good and has been faithful to us as we have tried to be faithful to Him. Blessings. Let's keep talking.

Wayne, You are needed here if God is calling you. Please pray about St. Louis and God's further direction in your life.

Have a Blessed Week,
