The church would still have plenty to fight over...after all there's still the choruses vs. hymns vs. blended insanity that so many still get embroiled in. As if God cares. And who is worship about? God. Right. This is so insanely simple.
But that's not all, we could fight over the preacher going longer than 11:30 (more insanity), whether "tithe" means a literal 10 percent, whether I tithe (whatever that means to me) on my gross or net salary, pre-, post-, and mid-trib (as if that matters), social gospel vs The Gospel, whether the grass on the hill we meet on should be mowed, or not, or whether it should be mowed in vertical lines or diagonal lines.
You see, my point is, the church will ALWAYS have (find?) things to fight over as long as the church is made up of imperfect people like me -- and you.
And it will be made up of people like us until Christ returns -- pre-, post-, or mid trib.
I agree with you wholeheartedly. To answer your question: yes, spiritually speaking. I believe that the church possesses its calling just as the OT prophets and patriarchs did. It does own it, but it did not create it. It only has it because it was given to it. It is worth battling this present darkness for and worth dying for. It is all it has, for it is what Jesus has given it.

Clarity requested- should the church own anything? Isn't there anything it has worth fighting for?
Materially speaking -- NO!
It's not...
My church
My pew
My pastor
My parking spot
My serve me ministry
Now anonymous why don't you answer your own question. Is there anything the church has, worth fighting for?
