ABOUT My Blog

It's my blog and I get to say what I want to, how I want to say it and when I want to say it. It is my BLOG! Right?

I know some won't like this. But the Truth is, you can start your own blog and do it your way. You can start today if you want to.

Once in a while someone sends me an email (like today) telling me how I should blog. And then they have the nerve to call me arrogant.

Wow Phil. It is hard to believe you know Bob. He never considered this his movement. He never did anything to my knowledge to show that or imply that. Wow.

Maybe I spoke too harshly. I am sorry. But we do need to get back to Christocentric mentality. And I still cling to the truth that this ought to be Christ's blog and a reflection of his love. You are to be a good steward of what he has given you. Those parts I still hold to.

thanks for deleting those nasty accusations, Phil!

They were not nasty accusations. I just want you take seriously the types of things you post and make sure they are God-honoring...that includes tone and how other people comment. I did not say anything accusatory. I compassionately told you that this is not your blog and that it ought to reflect Christ's love. I also asked for you to share some fruit of the Spirit with me so that I might grow through this. If you think I hate you and hate this blog, you are dead wrong! I did nothing intentional to hurt you. You read my email (I hope) and you should see that my concern and good intentions are truly genuine. I asked for your forgiveness for having offended you unintentionally. I hope you can give that to me. I deleted the comment not because they were nasty accusations, but because I was afraid someone else might misread what I wrote.

Rick and I are reaching out to you. We want to learn from you. We want you to learn from us. We are related both by blood and by Christ. Please do not paint us as the bad guys when you clearly know that we only desire each other's good.

With the sincerest of hearts,

your nephew Phil

No problem Phil. No need to forgive you - you did nothing wrong.

When you blog here, I'm not going to defend you. You know you have to hold your own. I was accused of not sticking up for you. I rarely come to anyone's defense. I just let you guys work it out when I can.

My not coming to your defense got the old gander up in the family. Like I said, I think you can handle yourself.

Love you, Phil!

Phil-
"this blog should reflect God's love"

i dont see how it doesnt. i mean, i see where sometimes an arguement goes way too far and devolves into slander and character assassination, and i take no part of that, but God's love is what prompts Bob to write in the first place. His love is not JUST the love that takes the little children unto Himself. It's the love that drove Jesus to make a scourge and clear out the temple, the love that prompted Jesus to say to Peter "Get behind me, Satan!", its the love that prompted Jesus on many occassions to offend, and say "GO AND SIN NO MORE." People often try to separate His love from His holiness and justice, and it cannot be done. They are all part of Him, in equal yet undivided parts. 100% love, 100% justice, 100% holiness (insert the rest of qualiities here at 100%) WITH NO DILUTION OF ANY QUALITY!

so, in short, God's love is not just the love that mends a broken arm, its the love that breaks the arm so it can heal properly

Can't have it both ways. You said Bob considers this his movement. You say a lot of stuff and DO NOT BACK IT UP! Bob never said this to my knowledge and I think you are lying. Show me a post where he did, tell me a time where he said it to you, or stop committing libel here. I am calling you out. Tell me exactly when Bob said that.
