If You See the movie -"The Da Vinci Code"

If you see the movie will you please post your comments here for all to read? I have not yet seen the movie, I will see it though. Presently I am reading an excellent resource for those seeing or not seeing the movie. It will help everyone address the talking points that will follow the film.

This resource is a quick easy read and written in the form of a novel. You will see what is true and what is fiction in the movie. We know that Dan Brown wrote the book and the film is based on his book and the book and film are fiction with some facts -so I guess it is faction. Anyway, Josh McDowell helps us sort fiction from fact in the film.

Give your responses ASAP, please!

RESOURCE: "The DaVinci Code -A Quest for Answers" by Josh McDowell (100 or so pages)

I saw it Friday night. I too am reading a good resource called Cracking The DaVinci Code. Can't remember the author.

Tom Hanks is looking old.

I did not see the movie personally but have know many who have. They say it is slow - too long and not Tom Hanks best film. Here is what CT has to say:

"More than half of church leaders responding to a recent Leadership magazine poll said they will offer their congregations classes, seminars, or sermons on The Da Vinci Code. The novel—and the movie it inspired—is seen by many Christians as an affront to the faith, with spurious claims about man-made doctrines and Jesus' alleged marriage to Mary Magdalene.

But while some church leaders are offended, others say the release of the movie this week is a faith-sharing opportunity. Even Tom Hanks, who stars in the film, thinks churches should capitalize on the debut, which is sure to have people asking serious questions about faith matters.

"If [churches] put up a sign saying: This Wednesday we're discussing the gospel, 12 people show up. But if a sign says: This Wednesday we're discussing The Da Vinci Code, 800 people show up," Hanks told Entertainment Weekly. "I think the movie may end up helping churches do their job.":end to article

(SEE WHAT TOM HANKS SAYS --- interesting!)
