Wanna know what BUGS me?

I'm bugged by...Chicken living people (am I being mean here?) who put up blogsites and refuse to publish comments from those who write stuff that they disagree with or cannot handle themselves. I don't mind the screening but I do mind being deleted for all the wrong reasons.

This is grouch day and while no one denied my comments in a while, I just thought I would grouch alittle.

Does anyone agree with me that it is a sign of "insecurity" for blogsters to delete "G" rated comments about a blogpost? Why allow comments if some comments are not allowed?

If you rip me -I will let your comments stand! I'm often ripped and I often deserve it. If you disagree or whatever -you're in man (generically speaking).

Since it is Grouch Day what bugs you? I can only pray it is not me!

well, i always looked at like this...it's their site, they can delete me if they want to. i've never thought it was worth making any judgments about somebody based on the fact they deleted my comment.

Bob - I think you should delete the previous post just to make a point.

Anonymous -Are you one of those deleters? Or, are you just holding me in check? Both are fine!

You are right in that it is their site. I just cannot figure out why people post and allow comments and then for whatever reason don't let the comment stand.

I sure wish someone would help me understand why people post and allow comments and then delete certain ones. Why do they delete them? Is there a reason much deeper than the obvious?

amazingly, today is grouch day for me too. What bugs me is people who are chicken to live their life fully and afraid to voice their true opinions and then get mad because you "offend" them by being honest with your opinions. Instead of enjoying the diversity of thoughts and ideas, they break their friendships off or leave the church because they do not like anothers opinions or what is changing for the kingdom. Most of their complaints are over things that have nothing to do with eternity or the kingdom. I want to just tell people to grow up! Some days I wish I lived on a desert island.
Keep up the brave commentary Bob, it is needed!

bob-
i don't know why people allow comments and then delete certain ones...this is a weird age we live in, where people want to publish their deepest emotions for all the world to see, and then i guess it's no surprise that there is sometimes some emotional fallout. i've been deleted before for proving somebody wrong. they posted something to make a statement, and i disproved it in their comment, and they didn't want people to see that, so they deleted it. but i just decided it's not worth getting tied up over. --blessings

What bugs me is...

... it USED to be Grouch Monday.

... People who aren't creative having control over people who are (in an environment that supposed to encourage creativity but never does)

... Lasagna with spinach.

... Fish tacos.

... That good, faithful dogs have to die. There ought to be an exemption there somehow...will lose one probably this weekend.

... That it takes SO LONG to get anything done in the ______ in America.

... That Bob is in St. Louis.

... that we have to spend more time at work than living.

... this whole "crisis" mentality with the news media.

... And speaking of the news, what really bugs me is news that isn't news. Most of it from Hollywood. That Seinfeld, had my 15 minutes but it wasn't enough, guy. Madonna and her adopted child. Enough!

... Politicians who justify negative ads because "they work" and "the other guy started it." That other guy, whoever he is, is just too damn busy. Tell me what you'll do for me and for the country, don't tell me what your opponent hasn't done, did, threatened to do, promised to do but didn't, etc.

... That it is Christmas-time ALREADY.

... That euchre is not a contact sport.

OK – Great day to jump in – Ice and then a foot of snow expected today.
What bugs me?

– People who think snow is the end of the world and rush to the grocery store to “stock up “ like we are entering war ration times.

- People that walk through the front doors of Wal-Mart and then stop to look around in amazement like they have entered a new dimension. Get a cart and keep moving please.

- When you get to the Emergency Room and they say “Take a seat and someone will be with you soon” If I thought I could wait I wouldn’t be at the “Emergency Room”. That is why it’s called an emergency, right?

- Christian’s who think they “evangelize” by the way they live and then live anyway they want.

- Pastors that don’t return phone calls because they are “too busy” This is my pet peeve. If you cannot return every phone call within a reasonable time then hire some help or disconnect the phone. You devalue me as a person when you ignore me and that hurts my feelings.

- Building Campaigns – they always have some theme about how important people are. Enough already – use the money to help people – Stadium seating does not change lives.

- People that think being a Christian require you to be affiliated with a certain political party. Jesus was not a Republican or Democrat.

That’s it for now – have a happy Thursday and Merry Christmas.

Pastor Brian,

I really believe Jesus would look those whining - belly aching - self centered good church members in the eye and with "no" tact whatsoever tell the to "shut up" and "grow up."

Jesus doesn't put up with that and neither should we.

No place for wussies in the Kingdom.
