The cost of following Jesus...

Jesus had no place to lay His head...just grabs me when I think of the cost of following Jesus.

What in your mind is the cost of following Jesus?

Tell me what following Jesus has cost you?

These two questions will help many of us sift through what it means to follow Jesus so closely that we are actually breathing the dust from His foot steps.

Jesus spoke of a price!

Can you help us here?

A career, relationships with those who will not follow, a social life, the ability to look past sin, freedom to choose in certain situations, friendships, some very bad habits, hobbies, gray areas, passivity, self-sufficiency, sleep, all of which I count as garbage compared to what I have gained in their place.

A great couple of questions Bob. This will separate the wheat from the chaff and the sheep from the goats.

How about going to church and singing in the choir or doing drama or teaching a class or serving on a board or committee, and reading my Bible and tithing?

Am I being facetious again?

Sorry I haven't been here but I have written a new book about the end times as seen from a totally different perspective, using the Old Testament, which I hope to finish in the next week or two, so my time on the internet has been minimal.
