Who in their right mind would threaten an 80 year old lady's membership for not tithing? Pay up or lose it!

In this day and age we allow very weak commitments to become a church member. Many times we as members do not fully dedicate ourselves to the church. We allow occasional participation, no sharing of finances, no prayer, and limited fellowship to permeate our congregations.
I think the sad thing is that the lady has been lead to believe that church membership is the vital part of the Christian experience. It is certainly a generational thing. Lord, free me from ever being a member of a church again. I AM A DISCIPLE!
